Flex Ford SID212 Cannot Download Files From Server Solution
Problem:
Trying to unlock a Ford SID212 ECU with Magic Motorsport Flex programmer and it’s saying ‘No virtual read available for this sw version. Cannot download files from server’ anyone had this issue?
Solution:
No VR file on the server.
1). Try a full read (real read). Read over 3 hours.
2. Use the Update File option to update the ECU to a version that has a VR file.
You can either do a full read, 3 hours 9 min or click updates and will write a update file in about 5 min, then you can unlock and take a VR.

New Magic Motorsport Flex software update available – v7.50.0.0. Bench protocol now available for Continental SID212 and SID212EVO!
From today, the RFT service is no longer required.
With Flex you can now unlock and program these ECUs directly in Bench mode, performing virtual read, real read, and write with a faster and fully controlled workflow.
After the Bench unlock, the ECU can also be programmed via OBD through the vehicle’s diagnostic port.

Version 7.50.0.0 of Flex
A new Bench protocol is now available, allowing you to perform virtual read, real read, and write operations directly on the ECU in Bench.
Once the Bench unlocking procedure is completed, the unit can also be programmed in OBD through the vehicle’s diagnostic port.
Thanks to this new solution, it will no longer be necessary to ship the unit to perform the unlock via the RFT service.
