Q:

My old cls 350 started to have problems with ezs and engine ecu. I need a MB key progammer for personal purposes.

Mercedes want from me 2500€ to repair this. So at this point i started to help myself.

I cloned succesfully ezs with x-prog and take a used me9.7, read out eeprom 95080, changed two bytes in binary code to virginze it and learned the used ecu with star diagnose....

I think for now as i never dealed with mercedes ezs, ecu and so on i make good advances in helping myself with this old car.

As i have only one key to this car and i make a dump from ezs and calculated skc keys for that, i want a second key to this and doing it myself as i started with this 2 months ago...

I search a cheap solution for making a second key to my car whereas vvdi costs too much for my personal purposes.

When i put a original programed mercedes key in the mb ir prog there is signal from the key, so the progger seems to be ok...

Will this mb ir progammer work??

I have the same IR Programmer

My Programmer works fine with the keys.

Tested on

- W220 2003 Facelift 2x Keys

- Sprinter 2008 1x Key

- Vito 2007 1x Key

But need read EIS/EZS wit Programmer and i use SKC to calculate Keys

Its mainly for NEC keys programming.

It can programm BE keys too....but not all and the work is very uncomfortable and only programm, forget for renew or some other functions

When you want to did some useful work with mb keys,better go for vvdi mb tool.

You can try this SK136 MB IR key programmer, it is very cheap $39.

If this fails you, go for CGDI MB, cheaper option than VVDI MB.

Benz DAS Online SCN Coding CAL Communication Error Solution

Here's working solution to MB Star diagnostic software online SCN coding failed to carry out problem which happened all around the world these days.

Error:

Error in XENTRY

Data transfer has failed (DAS <-> XENTRY)

Possible cause and remedy:

- Incorrect data were received.

- Unknown command or incorrect data in command

Do you went to repeat this procedure?

The coding may be wrong. (00001)

SCN coding must be carried out again.

If the problem persists, please contact the User Help Desk .

Solution:

Go to C:\programm files\mecredez-benz\addons centerxx

Change folder name "addons centerxx" to "addons center" (delete "XX" letters)

Restart the computer

Run c:\programm files\mecredez-benz\addons center\addonscenter.exe

It will run auto update with network connection .

I managed to make the Enhanced DRB III Emulator work with a micropod 2 clone on V17.04.27 Witech with Windows 7 32 bits all offline mode and no subscription.

First install Witech then install the DRB emulator and then the enhanced one.

Afterwards plug usb in pod then pod in the car turn ignition to on position and at last in the laptop

Foxwell NT520 (nt510) Reviews on Land Rover Discovery 2

I purchased the Foxwell NT510 (now, NT520 Pro) and it is a great tool. When you buy the scanner it comes with a vehicle specific scanner module that you download, additional cars cost about $70. My scanner download handles all of the Jaguar and Land Rover models.

It can read generic codes from a vehicle and it can clear generic codes from a vehicle but without the manufacturer specific module download it is difficult to to precise error identification and troubleshooting. It does allows me to activate the Wabco modulator to bleed the ABS and do a power bleed. It has a live data menu that allows you to select and plot data on the screen as you drive. I used it for instance to monitor my SVS fault to indicate whether or not the SVS switches are being detected when I depress the brake. Great unit.

Key programming: Failed!

I tried the key programming function on my Foxwell NT-510 and couldn’t get it to work either.

Just like No Doubt stated, nothing works after entering either the 6 digit code from the key fob or the 18 digit code from the scientific calculations excel spreadsheet....

I mean, It takes the 6 digit code and generates the 18 digit and 17 digit bar codes,except that the 2nd and second to last characters are "X" on the 18 digit code.

It also allows you to laboriously key in the 18 digit and 17 digit barcodes by hand, except that no matter what you type, the 2nd character and second to last character are changed by the NT510 to "X" on the 18 digit code.

Yet, I sent a message to Foxwell’s help line and they replied that updates are in work.

Reset ECM/ECU: Not tried yet

There is also an option to reset the ECM and ECU adaptions which I didn’t try since I don’t know exactly what this does to my electrical system...

Just done key copy Hyundai hb20x in less than 10 minutes.

I used the Xhorse vvdi key tool only to read the transponders to show the difference between the programmed and the “Virgin” key, it clone keys too, via app by phone.
I did the remote and key programming by OBDSTAR X300 DP. Done in 10 minutes.

MB Star HHT-WIN Setup Guide on Windows 7

Today, I’ll chip in some words with Windows 7 (XP Mode) installation of HHT – Hand Held Tester for Mercedes mb star diagnostic with SD connect C4 or Part D (C3).

How to add HHT shortcuts to All Users Folder in Windows XP

With the Windows XP Virtual Machine running, right-click on the Windows XP Start button.

Click Open All Users from the list.

When the All Users window appears you will be able to copy and paste or drag shortcut icons from the Windows XP Start Menu to the All Users window. The same applies to application shortcuts on the Desktop and in other locations. The key to this tip is making sure that the shortcuts are saved in the All Users Start Menu folder.

Close the Windows XP virtual machine.

How to copy HHT shortcuts of Windows XP Mode Applications to DAS\BIN:

Once the applications in Windows XP have been added to the All Users folder, Windows 7 Start Menu should be updated to include those shortcuts. Follow the instructions below to copy hht shortcuts to DAS\BIN

In Windows 7 click on the Windows Orb to open the Start Menu.

Click All Programs to view the list of applications.

Scroll down the list and click on Windows Virtual PC.

You should see a folder in this directory named Windows XP Mode Applications, click on it.

A list of Windows XP Mode applications (HHT) shortcuts will appear. Copy those shortcuts to DAS\BIN. Also copy files: hhtwin_vm_start.exe, , hhtwin_vm_start_pkw.bat, hhtwin_vm_start_nfz.ps1.

How to setup MB HTT software language:

you navigate to

C:\…\HHTwin.ini

parameters:

SPC=02

SPCN=02

SPCP=02

SPCD=02

SPCV=02

change to:

SPC=XX

SPCN=XX

SPCP=XX

SPCD=XX

SPCV=XX

or added to hhtpkw shortcut the language parameter (-L) e.g:

Micropod 2 clone Review on PT Cruiser and Dodge

I’m happy to report that my clone wietch Micropod 2 off obdii365.com does work, this unit doesn’t use a HDD, just install witech natively, it comes with witech 17.04 and drb 3 as well. This is what I have.

It’s a small package, coming with a VCI pod, a usb cable and a CD inside software

Pins inside the VCI pod connector are built well and I’ve never had connection issues

Sticker lol…. put it on and it’s definitely same as the original

And also on the CD it has wiTECH software version 17.04.27 – it’s the newest version tested by their professionals.

and also it has the DRB stub, DRB emulator, Enhanced DRB Stub and three versions of the Enhanced emulator.

The wiTECH installation is easy with the help of a Youtube video they’ve uploaded.

So far, I have the Micropod 2 on three cars.

DRBIII emulator + 2003 PT Cruiser: works (the main things lol)

DRBIII emulator + 2004 Dodge: works

wiTECH + 2010 Charger: works

Btw, Micropod 2 with DRBIII emulator work for old Chysler the year 1997 – 2004 (2005)

And with wiTECH only works for Chrysler made after the year 2003

First, I tested on a 2003 PT Cruiser.

Basically no other modules other than the Engine, work. I cannot connect to the transmission, ABS, VTSS, SKIM, radio, cluster, etc. But everything in the engine module can be tested, actuated, etc.
Luckily for me, I really only needed the DRBIII to write the Pinion factor for manual transmissions, which is conveniently in the ‘engine’ part which works.
Maybe I really need to invest in an older VCI pod so that everything else works.

Then, I also tested it on a 2010 Charger under witech and works flawlessly, and got a 2004 Dodge pickup and under the emulator worked perfectly.

Edit to update:

I already called my locksmith, who drives an 04 Sprinter to try it as well.

So I had a chance to test my Micropod II with not only wiTECH but also the DRBIII enhanced emulator. Both work good!
