Is Autel MaxiFlash J2534 good for wiTech 2.0?

Q1: Any way to program a Chrysler with an Autel MaxiFlash elite j2534? Witech 2.0 isn’t letting it program?

Q2: What are you doing to get wiTECH2.0 to recognize your MaxiFlash Elite J2534 interface devices?

Q3: If I’d be able to use a Autel J2534 to flash a Dodge ECM or do I need Chrystler’s proprietary J2534 jbox, the WiTech Micropod?

Some users reported that they have problems with Maxiflash and wiTECH 2.0. wiTECH (have subscriptions to wiTECH, Tech Authority, and a vin subscription for this) is not recognized maxiflash elite.

Here is the tip to set up Autel MaxiFlash J2534 with wiTech 2.0.

Through the official channels, gonna pay for the 3 day subscription to tech authority, and then the 3 day subscription to access the ECU software and the activation fee for the J2534 device.

1. Register your laptop with witech

2. assign your subscription to your laptop

3. Install Autel j2534 pc suite driver, the laptop sees the maxiflash. Also make sure jbox firmware is up-to-date.

4. open the Witech J2534 software desktop app. always running as admin. When you open the witech app on your desktop, there should be a way to select the device. Make sure Autel passthru is listed

If witech does not recognize maxiflash j2534, go back to Mopar web page and download the witech 2.0 J2534 software and try again. Don’t use the cloud-based witech 2.0 application.

If get error “Unable to verify DLL signature”, Just hit ok. Its fine. Its just saying its not a validated device. It may come up 2x.

FYI: Some also reported they had hard time with Autel and witech2. Sometimes it freezes, corrupts, app crashes causing no communication.

Better use Cardaq+3 and OEM MicroPod3 with the WITECH2 software.

If the subscription expires, the online SCN coding function can not be executed. The update is done via a subscription renew card. $165 per year for the CRP919 series.

The same procedure goes to CRP909E, CRP479, CRP429, CRP429C etc Creader scanners (with corresponding renew card).

If the scanner warns subscription has expired, press OK to continue.

How to Solve Openport 2.0 and Xentry Passthru Error 99.58642.0?

Problem:

I managed to resolve an annoying communication error (99.58642.0) that I have been experiencing for a while when trying to scan certain vehicle models using XENTRY Pass Thru 23.6.3 with my Tactrix Openport 2.0 and GODIAG GD101 PassThru devices. E.g. my A45 AMG W176 would always throw Communication Error 99.58642.0 when trying to scan it.

If you have DTS9 installed on the same machine as XENTRY Pass Thru and have also imported the 'PassThruSupport' regkeys that have been provided on mhhauto and elsewhere so that DTS9 can recognise your PassThru VCI, then that is the cause of the this XENTRY Pass Thru communication error.

The DTS9 PassThru VCI regkeys floating around on here and elsewhere are basically just exports from "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\PassThruSupport.04.04" and then re-imported to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PassThruSupport.04.04" which allows DTS9 to recognise the PassThru VCI so it can be added as a VCI within the DTS9 settings.

The problem with these copied keys is that they seem to conflict with each other due to having the same key names (for some weird reason), regardless of them being in different registry locations.

Solution:

They were the cause of my XENTRY Pass Thru Communication Error 99.58642.0, and here is what I did to fix it:

1. Open Regedit and navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PassThruSupport.04.04" and you will notice your PassThru VCI name as one of its subkeys. This is the location that DTS9 looks at when identifying PassThru devices.

2. Rename your PassThru VCI subkey. E.g. I renamed 'Tactrix Inc. - OpenPort 2.0 J2534 ISO/CAN/VPW/PWM' to 'Tactrix Inc. DTS - OpenPort 2.0 J2534 ISO/CAN/VPW/PWM'. You do not need to rename anything that sits under this subkey.

Doing this for each PassThru VCI that I use with both DTS9 and XENTRY Pass Thru has resolved the Communication Error 99.58642.0 that I was getting when trying to scan some models using my PassThru devices with XENTRY Pass Thru 23.6.3.

I replicated this conflict by re-adding the DTS9 PassThru regkeys shared on here and elsewhere and the error re-appeared, then manually renamed them again (as above) and the error vanished.

Shark fin remote.
Used CAN FD adapter and generic remote. Did the door dance to get the ignition on. Connected to server using Hotspot.
No issues.
Proximity was programmed and the remote functions worked as well.

Lonsdor Toyota 30 PIN Cable vs ADP Adapter

Is this Lonsdor Toyota bypass cable the same as the ADP adapter, or which one is better? both are necessary for Toyota key programming?

Lonsdor ADP adapter is for 2016-2022 Toyota smart key programming (ADP cannot do BABA type immo).

With the ADP adapter you don’t need Toyota AKL license.

Lonsdor Toyota FP-30 pin cable is different from ADP adapter.

To use 30 pin cable, you need to have Toyota AKL license activated.

The 30 pin cable is for 8A-BA and 4A-BA key programming bypass pin code.

Autel IM608 APB130 Read VW Polo 2016 MQB IMMO Data

It is APB130 adapter from Autel. We are trying to read the data from Volkswagen Polo 2016 MQB NEC35XX locked (processor D70F3526) dashboard with IM608.

Make all connections to the dashboard.
this is a connection to the dashboard which is connected to the xp400.
there is your ground, positive, yellow and blue cables and there’s little lifted (lift pin method) or a little jumper wire
the white cable go to the chip, it is lifting the pin on the chip that can be hair raised.

You can also break the pin off of it with a little tiny copper wire.
you see it’s actually soldered directly to the pad or the chip
the connectors are all fairly simple. it is all well explained on the diagram where all the wires go. just be more careful
then connect apb130 with xp400 pro, could you add to 12v.

Question:

Is it safe to unlock cas4 with godiag CAS4 test platform or should i use welding free adapter?

Answer:

It is safe 100% on bench, if you have good power supply 13 v 100a you can process and obd unlock.

But if the model has 6hp transmission, you cannot unlock via OBD, only bench with programmer with test platform.

for cas4 you need constantly pressing ignition button on the platform otherwise it doesn’t communicate.

Q: I'm looking to disable TPMS (Tire Pressure Sensors) on a W213 E Class.
Will it be enough to disable it from CGW?

A: Yes, it is enough.

In EZS213 -> [001] EVC CfgList_01_0C Schreiben -> TPMS -> none of listed variants

Option: IC213 -> [008] Variant coding Write -> Lampe Reifendruckkontrolle (Lamp TPM) -> deactivated.

You can find this unlock under security access.
