 BMW U-Series BDC3 smart keys are extremely difficult to disassemble. Extra caution must be taken when copying these BDC3 keys.

Solderless clips only work for G-Series BDC3 models; soldering is mandatory for U-Series.

How to Disassemble BMW U Chassis BDC3 Smart Key?

Step 1: Disassemble the Key Shell

Remove the silver side trim.

Take out the mechanical key.

Remove the battery tray.

Step 2: Disassemble the Mainboard

First, remove the lower shell.

Use a screwdriver to push the clips on the upper cover, then remove the car emblem and side buttons.

Step 3: Take out the Circuit Board

Use a blade to cut through the ultrasonic welding seam.
Carefully cut along the ultrasonic welding line.

Pry open the clips.
The key circuit board can now be removed.

Ford Transit/Transit Custom from 2019 onwards had a locked ecu (Continental SID212Evo) in the background lot of R&D has been going on with software engineers for 6 years now, what took so long ? The manufacturer patch on the ecu was a tricky one go be cracked.

Well now 2 well known tool brands in the industry fully support this, AutoTuner being our main go to tool allows us to do a VR and create a modified file for these ecu’s.

This involves a “2 stage split” on the ecu and sending off for the manufacturer unlock process at autotuner HQ (Luxembourg). Once the ecu has arrived and the unlocked completed it is then sent back to us ready for tuning.

What was noticed with in the ecu data? Its has some similarities with the pre ecu sid211 which is able to be done via obd no problems (pre 2019).
Vr read time – 1 minute 10 seconds.
Checksums corrected & Flash time – 1 minute 58 seconds.
Average turn round time for this job is between 4 days to 1 week depending when the ecu is collected.

Succesfully read data from edc16c9 (opel vectra c 1.9cdti) with Launch X431 IMMO Plus xprog3 and mcu3 adapter. At least to get a connection you have to connect all cables like in manual and power up xprog3 cable and mcu3 adapter together, I mean one supply cable for xprog and second for mcu3 adapter. I also used usb connection between tablet and diagnostic device. Hopefully it will help someone.

Not every HW80 can be read.  There are still some bootloader which are locked.

Important note :

After unlocking the ecu it will throw an error.

What to do:

Don’t ever switch ignition OFF ( KEEP IT LIKE IT IS)

Then u just choose same file and reflash.

autotuner will tell „ecu already unlocked“ and will flash straight away.

I went back to the 2025 Lexus RX350 add key. Success with Lonsdor K518 Pro and LT20.
I brought the regular 8a ba bypass and tried to pin the can H-can L with flyer wires and failed.
I had to go grab the Lonsdor 30 pin bypass on in pic 2# , it worked great for autel and Lonsdor. ( saved hours because somone cut out a huge access behind the glove box lol pic3#).

 Problem:

Failed to turn off OBDSTAR P50 airbag reset device. The power button does not respond. Any idea?

Solution:

In this case, disassemble the tablet, fix the power button marked red below.

Same goes to Odomaster, iScan series devices. 

 User feedback:

BMW iX3 2023 BDC03 system add key (copy) with Autel IM608 & APB113 adapter successfully.

Need to activate BMW G license on Autel.

Don’t put both keys in car.
Autel doesn’t recognize them together.

 Mitsubishi Outlander 2022 all keys lost is done by OBDSTAR G3 + C4-06 Adapter.

Remove HFM module, read 28-digit pin code with RH850 C4-06 adapter.

Then generate dealer key and learn key with G3.

 Problem:

Working on a 2022 Subaru WRX blade ignition key, all keys lost. It’s not a smart key it’s a key ignition. Tried to program key with Autel IM608 but kept getting this error.

Failed to generate analog key. Eeprom data error, get key type failed.

Solution:

First of all, always do Manual selection with Subaru’s.

2022+ Subaru WRX bladed ignition all keys lost is not possible with any tool. Even the smart pro won’t do it.

Autel cannot do it via OBD. It’s eeprom job.

 Problem:

Lonsdor K518 Pro did not read any key. I have tried yesterday too lots of keys nothing is reading.

Device gave an error key chip communication decoding error.

Solution:

There is a problem with the induction coil.

Disassemble the K518 Pro unit and check the coil area.

If you don’t know how to disassemble the device, send the device back to repair.

Tips for all S6J chips:
If your Dflash read shows all FFFF, the chip might be encrypted.
How to confirm if the chip is encrypted? Try reading the Pflash.
If Pflash reads successfully but Dflash doesn't, the chip is encrypted.
If neither Pflash nor Dflash reads, you're having a connection issue.
*If MCU is not encrypted, CG100X reads it without problem. If encrypted, it reads all FFF.
