 Keydiy released a new BMW BDC2 adapter for G series key programming (Add key) using KD-X4. Here is an example of adding a spare key to 2018 G38 using KD-X4.

Tools required:
KD-X4
Keydiy Phone as key 
Keydiy BDC2 adapter

NOTE: 

Activating the BDC2 function requires 150 USD or 5,000 KD coins. Each use of the BDC2 function incurs an additional fee of 4 USD.

Procedure:
The first step is to remove the BDC2 module from the vehicle.
Disassemble the BDC2 module.

Download Keydiy APP for KD-X4.

Select IMMO Programming- BDC2 (G-series)

KD-X4 APP will show connection diagram.

Connect BMW G series BDC2 adapter with BDC2 module and KD-X4 device.

Connect the BDC2 adapter with BDC2 module.
Connect 12V 2A power adapter to the BDC2 adapter.
Connect BDC2 adapter with KD-X4 programmer.
The BDC2 adapter indicator will turn to red if the connection is well built.

Read programming instructions:

Step 1: Back up vehicle information and Processing
1). Read vehicle status
Read and save vehicle data.

Backup SVT information.
Take a screenshot of the SVT info.

Return and back to perform Step 2: Preprocessing programming.

1). Back up coding
Reading coding data.
Save coding data.



2). Do Preprocessing programming
Select Preprocessing programming.
Load the original car data saved in Step 1.

Check whether the parameters are correct carefully.

Do not make calls or switch applications during the pre-processing process.
Keep the network and Bluetooth connection good to avoid program interruption.
Select the coding data saved previously.
Pre-processing in progress.

Save IMMO data.


Transfer ECU programming data

Select backup ecu coding data file.

Confirm VIN.
Restore ECU coding data.

IMMO data is saved successfully. Now you can add key with the immo data.

Go back and select Key Operation.

Put the phone key to the KD-X4 induction coil.
Select Generate dealer key.

Upload immo data.
Select a key position to generate dealer key.

Insert the original car key to the coil.

Each operation takes 4USD.

Remove the original key.
Insert the phone key to the coil.

Generate dealer key successfully.

Last step is to learn key.
Put the phone key to the ignition coil.
Long press the start button.
Learn the phone key successfully.

It doesn’t say it reads code. Autel has always been able to do them when you get the code from 3rd party.
They added the programming function for newer models till 2025, you will still have to get pin code from 3rd party.

 Tutorial: How to set up and connect Topdon Rlink device with Honda i-HDS OEM diagnostic software.

Procedure:

Download and install Rlink Platform driver from Topdon official website (CHECK HERE).
Connect Rlink device with laptop and vehicle.
Run Rlink Platform driver.
If the connection is normal, it will display that both the vehicle and the device are connected.

Click Driver Management– Driver Info.
Check whether the driver is downloaded.

The driver has been downloaded, select Rlink mode.

Close Rlink Platform.

Run i-HDS software on the desktop.

Select device as Rlink.

Connect to vehicle and start use i-HDS software.

 Here we willl show you how to add a new smart key to a 2023 Lexus LX600 using the Lonsdor K518 key programmer. Whether you’re a professional locksmith or doing it yourself, this method is quick, reliable, and works seamlessly with the Lonsdor devices.

Step-by-Step Guide to Adding a Smart Key

1. Prepare Your Vehicle

• Ensure your Lexus LX600 is parked in a safe location.

• Have both the original smart key and the new smart key ready.

2. Access the Smart Key Menu

• Go to IMMO & Remote- Lexus- Select from vehicle- LX series- LX600- 2022 onwards (include 2023 and 2024 models)- Smart Key

3. Check Existing Keys

• The system will display the number of smart keys currently programmed to your vehicle. In this case, there were three keys registered.

• Confirm the count before proceeding.

4. Initiate Key Programming

• Select the “Back up IMMO Data” option from the menu.

• Londsor will ask to connect Toyota FP-30 cable to the PEPS box. Connect 30 pin cable with smart box.

• Turn the ignition switch on (but do not start the engine).

Save eeprom data.

Back up immo data successfully.

5. Register the New Key

• Select the “Add Smart Key” option from the menu.
• Select load the D-FLASH data of PEPS to obtain 12-digit pin code.

• Place the original smart key near the ignition or designated key recognition area (usually near the center console).

• Wait for the system to recognize it.

• Next, place the new smart key in the same spot.

• You’ll hear a double beep, indicating the key has been successfully programmed.

6. Verify the Key Count

• The system will now show four keys registered (up from the original three).

• Press “OK” to confirm.

7. Test the New Key

• Turn the ignition off and test both keys:

  • Original key: Check if it locks/unlocks the doors and starts the car.

  • New key: Ensure it works for both remote functions and ignition.

If everything works, congratulations! You’ve successfully added a new smart key to your Lexus LX600.

 Problem:

Every time I need to insert the Benz BE key Autel IM608 tells me invalid key. I tried 3 different Xhorse VVDI BE keys (yellow board).  Even changed xp400 pro same situation.

Error “The current key is detected to be invalid.”

Solution:

Some BE Key yellow board old version 3.2 come not properly soldered.
BUT the manufacturer is aware of the flaws. There is a new version V4.2 that fixes the issues.

Green and yellow new boards work perfectly normally, something else is the issue.

It seems that it’s your USB cable. Some users had a similar situation.

Change usb cable of the programmer. Use the original USB cable of the xp400 pro, it is enough.

Feedback: 

The usb cable was bad, after changing cable, it works fine.

1. How to Purchase ECU Flash License?

Go to Mall- Software Store- Commercial Vehicle- ECU Flash.

Enter purchase and delivery information and choose payment method.

2. How to Enable/Configure ECU Flash Function?

Follow this guide to modify configuration files to enable ECU flash function.

• PAD V LINK HD path: /storage/emulated/0/cnlaunch/X431PADV/assets/StdCfg.ini
• PRO3 SE HD/ PRO3 LINK HD/ V+ HD/ Pro3s+ HD path: /storage/emulated/0/cnlaunch/X431Pro3S/assets/StdCfg.ini  

Parameters to Modify: OnlineFlash=0, Flash=0.

For PAD V HD, go to Other Modules – Files – file management (internal storage) – cnlaunch folder -Device name – Assets directory and find the file named Stdcfg.ini.

For Pro3 HD series, go to Other Modules – Files – file management (internal storage) – emulated-o-cnlaunch folder -Device name – Assets directory and find the file named Stdcfg.ini.

Open and edit “StdCfg.ini” with a text editor, find two fields “OnlineFlash=0” and “Flash=0”, click the corresponding field, change the value to 1, and save. After the save value, the corresponding value will change to 1, as circled in the figure below, indicating that the software now can do ECU Flash function.

Find OnlineFlash and Flash
Change OnlineFlash=0 to OnlineFlash=1
Change Flash=0 to Flash=1

NOTE:

1.Changing OnlineFlash and Flash value to 1 will also enable online programming function (if it’s PAD series)

2. If there is no OnlineFlash or Flash parameter, add OnlineFlash=1; Flash=1 parameters directly to the end of the StdCfg.ini document.

3. Display in the APP

After modifying the parameters (OnlineFlash=1, Flash=1):

X-431 HD APP:

• “ECU Flash” software appears under Local Diagnosis / Manufacturer.

• “ECU Flash Data Management” function appears in the More section.

X-431 APP:

• “ECU Flash” software appears under Local Diagnosis / HD / ALL.

 What is ECUDesk?

It is a program for editing car control unit files (ECU chip tuning).

What are subscriptions and how do they differ?

ECUDesk Standard vs Premium vs HP+ Version

1. STANDARD – this subscription allows you to edit the firmware of the car in terms of disabling environmental standards and has a limit on the number of successfully downloaded files of 20 pieces per day. (20 files per day)

2. PREMIUM – subscription allows you to edit car firmware in terms of disabling environmental standards, has additional functions: turning off the immobilizer, removing the speed limit, disabling system readiness monitoring, disabling the start/stop system. There are no restrictions on the number of downloaded files per day. (No file limitation).

3. HP+ (horsepower) – the subscription includes all the features of a premium subscription, plus the HP+ subscription allows you to identify the stock file downloaded by the client and increase its power and torque*. (Supports Stage 1)

*ECUDesk supports increasing the capacity of only the files that are in its database and are declared in the list of supported control units. If this file is not available, the user can send it to support and the service will add it to the program in 24 hours.

Here’s a small tip to guide you quickly check and sync vehicle mileage on CGDI K2 key tool. You’ll need to have a working key at hand.

Put the working key into CGDI K2 key clot.

Select Chip Identification Copy function.

Insert a BMW key into the induction coil and identify key information.

CGDI K2 reads key info. It’s ID49 chip key. Hit “More” button.

CGDI K2 will show mileage. Click “Edit” function.

Input mileage you need to sync manually.

Identify key info again. Now you can see the mileage is synced.
