Here’s a small tip to guide you quickly check and sync vehicle mileage on CGDI K2 key tool. You’ll need to have a working key at hand.

 

Put the working key into CGDI K2 key clot.

Select Chip Identification Copy function.

1. Connect the DC706 Tool

  • Select Simos PCR 2.1 Protocol

  • Check bench wiring diagram with MP001 or P003+

  • Connect ECU with P003+ and DC706

Renault diagnostics through clip are available exclusively through Vxdiag VCX, and PSA (Peugeot and Citroen) diagnostics are supported by Eucleia T6 Pro, broadening the brand coverage for users of these devices.

12. Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep Support

VXDIAG and Eucleia T6 Pro do not support Chrylser license. Topdon Rlink does.It supports Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles, covering models from 2005 to 2022. Eucleia is not compatible with the Subaru Nissan PSA Renault license. Relink is not compatible with PSA, Renault, SSM3, and Pathfinder PWEII software. Vxdiag does support this software. Rink X7 and Vxdiag VCX SE allow adding more software licenses to the unit. These are affordable J2534 devices comparing Mongoose Pro adapters. it depends on your needs. some users reported that the Vxdiag FD is faster and easier to set up than relink.

 Q: There is a “Unlock DME” feature in Yanhua Mini ACDP module 38 BMW BDC2 function menu. What does unlock DME mean? Does it refer to engine ECUs blocked after 2020/10?

Here is the clue.

 

What is Unlock DME?

If a DME is unlocked, you can rewrite immo data to the engine.
If you get a second-hand engine DME, you can install it on other cars after unlocking it.

 

Compatibility:

Unlock DME is available for B48/B58 engines (F chassis and G chassis) that can read engine EEPROM data by Yanhua ACDP.

 

Requirement:

Unlock DME function requires A504 license activation.

 

Operation mode:

Unlock DME is done via OBD.

 

Procedure:

First of all, read and back up EEPROM data from original DME first.

Read B48 EEPROM data with module 3B48 interface board on bench mode.

Then select “Unlock DME” function.

Connect ACDP with vehicle OBDII port.

I’ll walk through my experience reading and cloning a Denso MT 22.1 ECU using the Obdstar DC706 tool. This process involves bench reading, VIN writing, and troubleshooting common issues—helpful for locksmiths, mechanics, and automotive enthusiasts.

Step-by-Step Process

1. Connecting to the ECU
  • The Denso MT 22.1 ECU was initially attempted with Xhorse Multi prog, but it required boot mode, which was unnecessary with the Obdstar DC706.

  • Using a K-line connection, the Obdstar successfully established communication with the ECU.

2. Reading the ECU Data
  • The reading process was slow due to the K-line protocol but stable.

  • The tool first writes a bootloader before extracting the flash data, ensuring compatibility.

  • A key advantage of the Obdstar DC706 is its ability to read and write VINs, useful for virgin ECUs or replacements.

3. Handling a Virgin (New) ECU
  • The new ECU had no pre-written VIN, so the plan was:

    1. Read and save the flash data for future use.

    2. Write the correct VIN if the original ECU couldn’t be read.

  • Avoiding physical opening (desoldering) was preferred to preserve the ECU’s integrity.

4. Troubleshooting and Next Steps
  • If the original ECU couldn’t be read via bench mode, boot mode (desoldering) would be the fallback.

  • The saved flash data from the new ECU could be reused for future cloning jobs.

Autel IM508/IM608‘s menu cannot generate under Camry option.
You have to go to CHR to get the right board number and it will still be under 0410 (0351).
And it will work perfectly.

In this case, generate remote under Toyota C-HR 2016-2024 314.35/312.10MHz, FSK ID8A, PCB 0410 option.

First, create a key-type emergency key inside the smart key.

Turn the car door to make sure it opens and locks properly.

The key system is made of HU83 key blade and 7 bit.

You can open the car door by turning it towards the left bonnet.

The emergency key I made works smoothly on both the left and right.

Now, to register the new smart key you have prepared, connect Autel IM508 device to your vehicle’s OBD.

Please carefully open the device shell and check if the screen’s flat cable has become loose. Gently unplug and reconnect the cable to ensure proper contact.

It says incorrect key type. Use a non-Toyota universal key.

Corolla does not need Toyota specific ikey. Use any other.
