How to Tell Different Quality KT200 Boards?
There are 2 different quality KT200/KTM200 ecu programmer boards. And they are slightly different. One has a crossover board stuck to the back of the board and the other one does not. Looks like there have been revisions between them. The newest one was better quality soldering but looks like 2 chips have been hand soldered on and jumpers set differently.
One with cross overboard in the back is of very poor quality. One without cross-over board is a revision and is of better quality.

The poor quality kt200 won’t even i.d certain modules. Sometimes the toolboot option is useless as it won’t work at all.
Where do you recommend to buy a well made kt200?
Always buy from an authorized dealer. Don’t look cheap.

How to Flash Autel MaxiIM KM100 via TF card?
One of our customers’ Autel MaxiIM KM100 device automatically restarts every 5-10 minutes, in this case he will need a firmware reflash.

Installation instructions are mentioned, along with the boot files.
Preparation:
- One TF card (larger than 4G, please backup all personal files)
- One card reader.
- Windows computer (make sure the windows computer USB port has write permission.)
- “update.img” file (included in the flash files).
- “SDDiskTool” (included in the flash files)
- An Autel KM100 which needs to be flashed.
Step 1: Install flash file
- Copy “update.img” to Windows computer. Insert the TF card to card reader and plug the card read to computer USB port.
- Decompress the “SDDiskTool_v1.61.zip”to computer, will see the “SDDiskTool_v1.61”folder.
- Run “SD_Firmware_Tool.exe” program in “SDDiskTool_v1.61” like the following screenshot:
- Select removable disk. The inserted TF card will be selected automatically in normal case, but if more than 1 removable disk inserted in the computer, then need to select the TF card manually or remove another removable disk.
- Tick firmware upgrade.
- Click “select firmware” and select the “update.img” file.
- Click “Start to crate” and select “OK” in the pop-up warning window. (The TF card will be formatted in this step, please make sure personal files backed up already)
- It may take 7 min to finish the step. It will show successful window and please click “OK”
Step 2: Copy keepcar file (Optional)
If do not want to reset the Autel KM100 to factory default (Means will keep the history diagnostic files and photos), please copy the “keepcar.txt”to TF card root menu. Otherwise, please delete the “keepcar.txt”.
Step 3: Flash the KM100 (Please make sure the electricity is greater than 30%)
Insert the TF card to the KM100 which need to be flashed. Long press the power button to reboot the KM100, it will go to flash process automatically. And can take out the TF card once the screen shows successful.
Step 4: Clean up the system
Reboot the KM100 and go to System settings—system—reset—Factory data reset (DO NOT tip the erase SD card)—reset the device and the device will reboot automatically.
Done.
If still not working after flash firmware, need to send back device for repair.
OBDSTAR Failed to Add Renault Duster 2021 Key?
Question: I am trying to add key Renault Duster 2021 with OBDSTAR x300 pro4. It shows the number of keys, but does not enter programming. ANy idea?
Solution:
OBDSTAR says the function not supported.
Duster over 2019 obdstar gonna erase all keys, be careful and you can’t program any key.
Autel can’t do too, only when you have pin. Use xtool or AVDI for these vehicles, obdstar can’t do it.
How to Solve ECU Bench Tool “S1 S2 Pinout Error”?
Problem:
The ecu bench tool device has stopped communicating with the ECU. S1 error s2 pinout error. edc17 doesn’t connect either. I connect it well.
Solution:
Make sure the driver has been installed and the wiring connection is correct.
Don’t connect according to the color of the cables, follow the name marked on the cables.
Hold the Reset button to reset the device. Hold it till lights flash. And restart software.
If not working, download/ install both software and try again.

2013 Dodge RAM 1500 Key Not Working After Programming?
Here comes the problem:
I added a smart key ( after market) with autel im608 in my boss truck 2013 Dodge ram 1500 and it did work for 4 days. Today I added a new one ( also after market) and it worked for 3 hours. Scan systems and show the next code B1A0B-00… any help would be greatly appreciated.
Solution:
Your problem is the key. It happened to me a couple of times already with unlocked and chinese keys.
This happens VERY often when using aftermarket or Universal keys. They often never lock and very often fail.
B1AOB Faulty Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) or The auto market key is defective, you should buy good companies like Xhorse or original.
You can use one from keydiy or XHORSE they work fine.
Just use a xhorse key will go straight in. But better use Oem and you can’t have any keys near when your programming the key.
That’s a very common problem on that model, 2013 have an issue about RFH module, every time you tried key lock and then after some starting process it will unlock, you can program a Xhorse key and it never unlock it again or you can update the RFH on Witech 2.0 this should fix the problem.

there are several ways to bypass the Chrysler SGW and one of them is through the Star connector, It’s almost always easy to access and you don’t have to disassemble anything.
Does the star connector cable work with Autel IM608? Or is the 12+8 bypass cable the only way to do 2017+ Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles. I see a lot of folks say to just use the star connector cable and don’t mention it working with the IM608.
Yes, it works with IM608 and IM508.
Autel does not have Start connector cable for IM608 Pro, but you can use the one from the other equipment.
When the star connection is fully accessible right by the ebrake. That’s a 3 to 5 minute job with the star connector.
Or get the brute force style cables and never spend more then 5 minutes hooking up. It has the 2 can lines you connect to the star connector. I upgraded mine and soldered in a star connector plug in, now all I do is plug in and go, I suggest breaking the locking tab off, much easier to get it out and it doesn’t fall out.
