BMW DME or DDE Module Initialization Errors Solution

Summary

The DME (Digital Motor Electronics module of the BMW automobile is a very important module that controls the main operation of the engine (Diesel vehicles include DDE and Digital Diesel Electronics modules). Unlike other modules, the DME / DME2 / DDE module must be coded with the power turned on (ACC On) without coding while the power is turned on at the time of coding. If the initialization is done by pressing the button with the ignition on Code, or the coding is done, the DME module will be blown and various warning lights will appear. Most of the beginner coders initialize ECUs it, and after selecting all Code it seems that these problems are occurred after pressing. Code If you need to initialize by pressing Code, select the individual module and press to initialize it for each individual module.

If the DME module is blown, the starting will be turned off while coding, and if you try to start, there will be a phenomenon that the driving device error will not start. Then, various warning lights are turned on as shown in the figure below.

Resolution

By default, the preparation process is the same as the BMW ENET cable E-syscoding procedure. I am going to tell you about the theory, not the actual experience. Please note that the names and numbers of the coding files are different because they are synthesized by combining all screenshots.
 
  1. Read SVT(VCM)Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM)) then proceed to the process (ACC ON state ).
     
  2. SVT With the DME module selected in the area, Detect CAT for SWE click the button on the right .

  1. After selecting the most recent CAFD OK, press. The current F020-13-11-504 CAFD list is selected because it is the most recent version on the current capture screen

  1. The DME module will probably have been changed to a blue, red color folder on the SVT list as shown below.

DME With the module name selected Code, click the button on the right screen Or you can DME right-click on the module name Code and select the same.

If you continue to coded while the green bar is stretched as if you are coding, it is restored normally.

Note: From PSG16 CarProg can read only some part of RAM. This memory dump cannot be writied back – you can just read. You cannot clone PSG16 with CarProg! You can just read PIN, change odometer and reset ECU (make it virgin).

About: Lonsdor K518 key programmer and the "Device abn" problem

This solution is for the "Device abn" problem.

When starting the first time this comes up.
And it will not go any further.

(Maybe it can help out in this problem as well).

Then do this:
Try to press "Settings" button and "Return arrow" button.
At the same time for 4 seconds.

See if it comes up with a screen which involves "Newest AKP" and "Oldest AKP".
Choose "Oldest AKP"

(I am thinking of this could be the solution to ACM kernel problem, if you can reset it somehow).
It will come up with a screen "loading".

Then a text either in Chinese (even if the text before Oldest AKP was English) or English.
"Connect server failed, please set up network"
Then you will choose the "OK".

And the machine will start up in English, and let connect to the internet and register.
And then do the updates.
Lonsdor K518ISE Machine should work as normal after that.

How to solve BMW E-sys No Launcher Premium Restore Error

First of all, I will tell you the sad news that this crack program can not be applied to the latest version of Launcher.

 

The document was translated from Korean.

 

We confirmed that it works well in version 2.5.3, so it seems that it will be applicable.

If you do not need to use the latest version of BMW E-Sys, it will be a valid program.

If you use 2.6.2 and delete it and install 2.5.3, it will not work.

I have tested 2.6.2 on my computer and it did not work when I tried to install 2.5.3, and after installing a new version of 2.5.3 on my virtual machine, it worked.

  1. Run the program after downloading it to any folder.
  2. Click on the ‘Restore Launcher’ button at the far left.
  3. Then the popup will pop up as shown below. There is no recovery point for E-Sys Launcher Premium. It seems to be the principle that after storing the point before the change of the car model as a recovery point, it will use the previous recovery point even after changing the car type later and use it without changing the date.

    a. Change the system date to today + day.
    b. Launch the E-Sys Launcher and select your car model. Keep Launch untouched!
    c. Change the system date to today-3 days old.
    d. On the E-Sys Launcher, click the Launch Now button.
    e. Exit after BMW ENET cable E-Sys is executed.
    f. Returns the system date to today.
    g. Click the OK button.

How to use Ktag or Kess unlock CRP3 LPC2478 via J-link

As you know, for crp3 we can do the trick for unlock crp3 heating on Ktag or Kess V2 programmer or buy a new NXP and write it (only one time)
Here are some questions & answers on Google form, questions about “how will you use J-ink if its crp3 ?”…

Q: Can I update NXP directly if at this moment I have Ktag 6.070? Or I will need to replace it with new one and then to update to 7.030 ?
A: if your actual fw is crp3 you will have to do “heating trick ” or change nxp, you will know if jlink doesn’t recognise firmware ( i think message about cannot find cpu chain or something like that) , simple

A: this is fw 7.030 we are talking about REAL firmware, not modding number in sw or similar, about second question i don’t understand what you ask.

It allows you to erase the NXP MCUs on both Kess & KTag via UART0. This will work for firmwares up to CRP2. CRP0, best off using J-Link as it only takes 30s as opposed to 30 minutes. If you’ve blocked your KTag properly (CRP3), it won’t help you. You will need to swap the processor.

It is possible . I have done on on my 320i. Using a BMW ENET cable and E-sys F-series coding software.

Try ICMQL => IcmKod_B_Sportlenkung = verbaut.

For Sport+, only IcmKod_B_Sportlenkung in needed.

Has anyone bought/used one of Chinese Tech 2 scanner (clone)? If so is it any good? I ask this as I’m contemplating buying one. And there are soooo many versions of Tech2 clone; which one should i have?

Received the GM Tech 2 clone today. Five days from China, not bad for free shipping. Checked it out and everything is working fine except the AC-to-12VDC power adapter (dead). No problem, because I can get one anywhere for $5. In short, that is a nice piece of equipment to have, very nice!

Aside from working beautifully with OBD2, the tech2 is the scanner for GM OBD1 to use. with the right software (plug in chips like nintendo cartridges) it’ll do some daewoo/suzuki, GM medium duty (meaning bigger than 3500 using non automotive OBD2 standards), and other in the GMdistant family tree too.

In addition to generic codes (P0000-P0999) It’ll do all the proprietary GM codes (P1xxx), actuators, and systems. you can also view fuel trims, emissions readyness (beyond a green LED for all OK) and It’ll talk to ALL the modules rather than just the ECM (and if you get into the $250+scanners, ABS) like BCM, SIR, entertainment, EVERYTHING on a GM. At school I used one with a 91+ cartridge on my 87 S10, so going back further is hit or miss but possible.

To adjust shift points and fuel consumption and Speedo, forget it.

The TECH2 can’t do any sort of modding/tuning, only upload GM flashes. At least with legitimate software. I’m sure someone has custom software to do it but there are easier ways nowadays.

Is it worth if you just want to read/clear codes on your own car once in a while, heck no. If you’re doing a lot of work on GMs or want to get a lot more in depth with your car, it’s worth the money.

No comment on China knockoff quality, I mean a working tech2, Chinese made or not.

GM Tech2 Clone Purchase Guide and Unbiased Review

After much debate with myself I took the plunge and purchased one.  Was going to get one through AliExpess but that turned out to be a nightmare……….Long Story, won’t get into it unless someone ask’s.  Anyway I purchased the one recommended by two friends of mine.

I paid $349.00 + $137.00 shipping. It’s shipped form Hong Kong and it’s heavy. I have had guitars in hard shell cases shipped from Japan and the cost was $130.00 so I wasn’t skeptical about the shipping price. The case alone has a 4kg / 8lb shipping weight. If you don’t need a carry case, as some others suggested, go for SP23-1. I personally don’t test it.

Of course it’s a clone….real GM Tech2 run in the $2k to $3k range.
Some of the guys have clones and have reported that it works just as well as the original.

Now I know that there are several advertised at a lesser price and free shipping but let me explain myself for buying this.
Both my 2 friends recommended this vendor as the one to go with because of reliability etc, etc.

TIS2000 lets the Tech2 communicate with a computer (Win XP/vista and virtual machine i think.) to download data. The USB key is for accessing the GM site to revise the PCM settings so long as there were allowed by GM.

This is what the GM service technicians use or would’ve used to service your car. No, not just a code reader. It is the most valuable service/ maintenance tool. I would certainly be willing to spend $400 to get the capabilities that tool offers.

I wound up purchasing a refurbished Dell Lap Top with Win XP just for the TIS2000 program and I can also use the laptop to view real time data as it’s wired up in between the Tech II and the car.

There are multiple levels of diagnostics that require a GM Tech2 scan tool to do that you cannot do with a code scanner. It helped find a misfire issue on a C5 Z06 which turned out to be bad valve springs. Next day l used it to verify ABS issues on a Suburban and initiate a throttle position relearn on a Tahoe.

I have used this Tech 2 to do a couple crank senor relearns. and recently did the Brake bleed on my 99 with Active Handling !!!!!

I have not done any reflashing with my clone GM Tech 2.  As far as I have learned by now is that the main use of TIS2000 is to update an existing PCM or flash a replacement (new) PCM .

As far as I also have learned you download files for your VIN from ac delco site by means of the TIS2000 first . Then you copy these files from the pc into Tech2 memory . Afterwards you connect the Tech2 to the OBD2 plug in car and update according to correct procedure . I hope you can confirm if this is correct ….

I can´t see any problem with reflashing the PCM using this clone.

Still testing the scanner and will keep updating review…

Xtool X100 Pad Stop Booting After System Update Solution

Problem:
I have a problem with Xtool X100 Pad tablet key programmer. After update system x100 pad tablet stopped booting and did not start.
Before that on display show me system update i download then tablet has self reset and turn on. Then on display show only xtool logo don’t run android system.

What can i do? Need to do factory reset on the pad?

2) Paste the file on laptop desktop, connect X100 Pad with laptop

4)  They will help reflash firmware.
